Requirements
- An Apple silicon Mac
- macOS 14 or later
- At least one CLI installed and signed in: Claude Code, Codex CLI or Gemini CLI.
Three steps to your workspace.

Move into Applications
Open the downloaded DMG and drag ThreadRig into your Applications folder.

Sign in to your CLI
Use your CLI’s own sign-in flow with your provider account.

Add your project
Open ThreadRig and press ⌘N to add a project folder.

Is it free?
Yes. ThreadRig is free. Provider accounts and any provider charges are yours.
Do I need an API key?
ThreadRig does not ask for or store your AI API keys. Install and sign in to a supported CLI using its own authentication options.
Intel Macs?
Not yet. The release build supports Apple silicon only.
How do updates work?
The app checks a release feed for updates. You can turn automatic checks off in Settings → Updates.
